Beck PRIDE Center Upcoming Events

The following calendar has upcoming events on campus and in our community that are related to veterans. Please click on an event for more information. “R&R Wednesday” at ASU
Any student veteran, or anyone interested in supporting veterans services at Arkansas State University is invited to drop by at “R & R” Wednesday held weekly from 12:00pm – 1:00pm. This is an informal gathering sponsored by the Beck PRIDE Center’ designed for student veterans to get acquainted with other students, faculty and staff; enhance social skills, campus awareness; and to promote networking among the ASU community. R&R Wednesdays are held in the non-traditional student center, located on the 2nd floor of the Student Union.

Vet Center- “Combat Veteran’s Support Group” Thursdays at ASU
The Vet Center/VA Memphis provides weekly support group meetings and readjustment counseling services on the ASU campus for any war veteran at no cost to the veteran or family. Meetings are held every Thursday, 11:00am – 12:00pm in the “Green Room” of the College of Nursing and Health Professions Building. Individual appointments, also free of charge, may be scheduled by calling (901) 544-0173. 

Craighead County Veterans Service Office Open Tuesdays and Wednesdays
The Craighead County Veterans Services Officer is trained and supervised by the Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs to serve the veteran, their dependents and survivors. They are available to assist with enrollment in military compensation, pension, disability and other veteran’s benefits.  The Craighead County Service Office is located in the Craighead County Courthouse 511 S. Main, Room 1003, Jonesboro, Arkansas  72401. Office Hours: Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 8:00am – 5:00pm. Appointments are preferred. Office (870) 933-4598 – Fax (870) 933-4580.
